Before you enroll
Pickup lists change every year, and most providers need a minimum number of children from a school. Ask each one to confirm Meredith pickup for the days you need.
Ask what happens on early-dismissal days and district days off.
City rec centers post each year’s after-school listing late, so call before counting on a price or a spot. Their listings live in the Parks & Rec finder.
Options thin out after 5th grade. For grades 6–8 the pickup choices are Zhang Sah, Queen & Rook and Butcher’s Sew Shop (Fridays), plus Philly Art Center through 6th. Fleisher is about three blocks away for children old enough to walk.
The city’s free, city-funded after-school programs do not include one at Meredith.
